First, I think that learn English in the university is more motivating because it’s more interactive that in the school, also, the university English is more about to speak in English, at school it was the opposite. I love to have English because I can remember all the things I learnt in the secondary, so, I don’t forget about the past simple, the perfect present and that kind of things.

I think that make English blogs are so important to motivate the writing, because when I have to write, always arise doubts about grammar like “how do I write that word?” and then I have to browse and of course I learn a lot.

Also, I have a lot of fun when I read my classmates’ posts, they write about their personal and daily things that live every day.

I think that my pronunciation is not good at all, I can understand and write acceptably but when I have to improvise the word can’t go out of my mouth.  I try to sing aloud and repeat dialogues of a serie or movie to pronounce like the actors; of course it’s always a failure.

Well, right now I’m not using English a lot, because I don’t have any foreign friend or something like that but sometimes I have to watch an episode of series in English because the translation is not ready yet and it’s a little difficult try to understand everything, I have to rewind some parts to understand it at all.

To finish, I would like to say that when the English curse is over, I’d try to still practicing, l don’t know how, but I’ll try, because this is so important to check some web pages, papers of my career, the songs, the series, etc, well  you know, it’s all about English. If I travel to anywhere I’d like the people understand me, I’d like to talk them good. 

Taking care about enviroment

Hi, today I’m going to write about the care of the environment. I think the people learn about environmentally friendly practices in the primary school, the university, internet, and the global campaigns, but not everybody takes the real weight.  In my secondary school, we did a campaign about recycle paper. We recollect a lot of paper and we made the process –watched on youtube- about to recycle. In the first instance we didn’t it so well, because the new paper was so brittle and dark. So we had to use some books and copybooks not so striped.  Now, I only limit myself to not to throw trash on the floor.

Unfortunately I don’t use a bike to go to different places, here is very difficult because of the traffic and the streets and I’m afraid of being knock down, but in my city I can go to almost all the place with my legs!

At the moment I haven’t joined in any eco-organization because I don’t have much time to participate. Also I don’t have much money to give.  Maybe in the future I could support in some way Greenpeace, I like that organization.

Well, I think I do the same thing that people do, try to save energy, have a diet low in carbon and try to walk much as possible, because less CO₂ will be emitted, less polluting gases. CO₂ is the principal gas of the greenhouse effect

I think the Santiago’s priority is not the environment, so not many people knows about things they could do to reduce the carbon footprint.  

I can’t believe the year has passed so fast, it seems that it was only yesterday when January arrived.

One of the best things that could happen this year were enter to the University, but I’ll be honestly, when I realized how the University was I only wanted to leave it.  So, enter to the university was good at the beginning but then It turned in a nightmare. The last time, I have learnt to love it.

A situation that didn’t go so well was the distance that appeared between me and my old school friends, we were a close-knit group, but then we had to move of our little city and made new social life because of the university. We only see in the long holiday weeks, that aren’t many times. We often talk for social networks like skype or facebook but obviously it not replaces a long friendship.

Well, this year I have to go to La Virgen the Andacollo because a request that my family and me done with her, so I think that in December, when I’m free of exams and my parents free of work, we will go there.

A thing I still have to do this year is pass all the subjects, because I don’t want to do a summer course (or repeat a year again), it would waste the half of summer!

As for bad news, the last time in Santiago has appeared some kind of terrorist attacks, especially in the subway; it caused a big fear in the population, including me.

Also, the Ébola made a big impact in the entire world, more than 4,000 people have died in the worst-ever Ebola outbreak ever recorded. 

Avocado Lover

Today I’m going to talk about my favorite fruit, the Avocado.

The avocado is a fruit that can have a lot of variation; there are different types like Hass, Ester, Mejicana or Guatemalteca. It origin is in Mexico and Guatemala.

The avocado has little water and a lot of calories; this is why we can’t eat in excess.  It also has a lot of nutritive elements like oleic acid, vitamin K, and E that are antioxidant and control heart’s activities.  Fats in avocados have high biological value, mainly unsaturated, and, obviously don’t provide cholesterol. Since 900, the avocado tree has been cultivated and grown in Central and South America. Vitamin B promotes the healthy development of cells and tissues.

I personally love this fruit because I can eat it with bread or cookies, in the salad, Fajitas or like fill Avocado.

You can eat this fruit entire or ground. If you can’t recognize an avocado I’m going to learn you: Outside it can be green or black, inside its green/yellow, it has a big stone fruit, with the pass of time, the avocado turns brown/black, I don’t like it! So, to avoid this, you can put the stone fruit in the middle of the ground avocado.  

I’d heard that the avocado can help for the memory, so, when I have a big test, I always eat fill avocado.

So people, never stop eating this beautiful fruit, we would be anything without it. <3

Technology advances

Hey, today I'm  going to talk about the story of Wladimir, a man that was born with Poland syndrome. The Poland syndrome affects the muscle development. The name of the syndrome is because of the discoverer of the anomaly.  Wladimir, has the lack of some muscles in the top right zone of the body, also he has a congenital amputation of some fingers.
He is in the Teleton since a month of birth. A days ago, he received, from USA, a hand made of a 3D printer. The hand, allows take and drop things, control the movement and all the functions that a real hand can do.
The incredible thing, is that this hand just cost 25 dolars! Also, the time needed to make this just take 5 hours.
The way the printer works is that it heat the plastic and at the same time it goes making the shape.


It interests me becase the science surprises me so hard,  the technological advances are awesome, I haven't heard of that kind of think to that price, it's absolutly incredible. Now, there is a new goal, try to give a hand, finger or foot to more people that needs it because is impossible that the other people -who has the syndrome- can't have the opportunity to obtain this equipment. I think, that just 25 dolars and 5 works' hours are so achievable and easy to get, so, in a near future, there could be more of these hands.  That mode, they could feel a new experience, like open a french fries' package with both hands.

What I want to be

Well, I would like to have a job accord to my career, being a dentist or something like that. I would like to work in a public establishment, in a primary center of my city. I can imagine it working in team with others colleagues.

I think that my job will not be okay at all if I work outdoor because we have to use many sterilized items and I could make someone very sick in just a few hours, the people obviously would kill me.  For the same reason, I don’t want to work in an office. I addition I love the dentist’s smell since I was a kid and if I work outside, there wouldn’t be that smell.

About the travels, of course I would like go to many countries as I can but it’s impossible because of the money. I’d like to go to Italy or France and make a post-graduate there.

Currently, I’m not doing a major because I’m in pre-graduate, but if I finish this career, I would be a Periodontist or Implantologist, but I prefer the second one because I want to give someone who has no hope to still smiling, to return their smile. I don’t want to stay like a dentist because there are a lot of them; I want to be something else.

In a hypothetical case where I don’t finish my career, I’d have a library. It sounds weird but I like papers, pencils, books, markers, notebook and that kind of things. 

The chose one

Today I’m going to talk about a musician artist; he’s the vocalist of Muse, an English rock band: Matthew Bellamy. He’s a singer, composer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. In the band, he plays the guitar and sings, but he can plays battery and the piano.

In his infancy, he started to play the piano, although not like a disciplined way.  His brother forced him to participate in a guitar contest. In that moment, he starts to glimpse some musical career.

In the 1960s, he participated of a pop group that was called The Tornados. In 1994 he began to participate in Muse, with two others.

The first song I heard of Muse was Hysteria, maybe the most well-known song of the band, it was because a friend told me that I had to hear them because they played too good and the guitarist was exceptional.  

I like him because he writes very interest songs, many of them are about dislike the political corruption, I’m not saying I like to be revolutionary, I just like the free-soul he has and his outlook on life. Also the way he express in the stage is absolute incredible, he has an amazing voice.

I like a lot of songs, but Hysteria remembers me my infancy. It’s about the desire to have something or someone that is out of our reach and we will be frustrated until you could reach that. It ends up becoming an addiction.

My favorite part is: “Its holding me, morphing me, and forcing me to strive(…). ‘Cause I want it now, give me your heart and your soul, last chance to lose control(…)”

Best holidays

My last holidays were in the beach, like 7 months ago. I stayed in Los Toyos for three weeks. I went with my family, and we traveled in our car, it was a little uncomfortable because we were so tightened (eight people with a lot of stuff is not good at all).

In the first beach we arrive in two tent, we were 4 people in each tend. In that place I stayed for a week. We had so much fun because we met some friends in there. And as the days progressed the food and the water scarce so we had to buy them.  The good thing about don’t pay a place to stay is that we could be in the beach as long as we want it, nobody could kick us out!

We had a great time because we swam on the beach, built sand castles, played beach tennis, walked in the shore, and sometimes we did yoga. We were to some places that are near to the beach like a mountain. We started to climb at 8 o’ clock and we arrive to the tent around 6 pm

I think that more than the place I went; the time I shared with my family is priceless, also if I hadn’t met new friends I would have been bored.  

The good thing about Los Toyos is that the waves are so quiet.  

Favourite cartoon

A year ago I used to have a lot of free time so I usually watch many cartoons like Rocket Power, Hey Arnold! and Digimon.

Right now I have no time to watch many movies, cartoons or series, because of the time. The University wasted a lot of free time.

My favorite cartoon as child was Digimon but just the first season, and then it had new seasons but not good as one.  

The characters are: Tai, Kari, Sora, Matt, Mimi, T.K Takaishi, and the digimons: Agumon, Gabumon, Pyocomon, Palmon, etc.  

Digimon’s setting is special because it’s in a kind of digital era, where the digimons live in the Digiworld and they change their form into something more evolved when it’s necessary.

I like that because I loved their opening and the way they evolved, also it was about to live in other world so I enjoyed that.

Of course I think that the cartoons are not only for kids, the problem is that many people work/study and have more responsibilities like children so they can’t watch cartoons. Also because over the course of time people turn a little bitter.  

Now I have good news to Digiaddicts, because of the 15^th anniversary of Digimon, there'll be a new sequel of the first generation soon!! I’m so happy for that and I hope I could really watch that. 

Lovely place

I would like to start going to the countries of Latino America like Peru, Colombia and maybe Venezuela. But what I like the most is Peru; I have tasted the gastronomy and it’s absolute incredible and cheap. I think the Legendary Inca’s Empery is so interest, the Incas ruled a part of Chile too and reached an architecturally high-quality

I think is easy go to Peru, because there are a lot of people who cross the border every day. I have met many Peruvian people in Santiago and they are very nice and endeavored.

I want to cross the Titicaca Lake and (like many of us) go to Machu Picchu, because it has a lot of history and awesome landscape. There are many ways to arrive: for train, bus, or walking for the Inca’s route.

Peru is a beautiful country; nevertheless I would never live there, because I love Chile. Maybe I could go just for a season, especially in summer.
